Weather Cancellations

We will only cancel when absolutely necessary. If it is safe to drive and possible to clear the parking lot and sidewalks we will usually not cancel. Often we’ll hold services and tell people to use their best judgment with safety in mind.

However, anytime an activity is cancelled we will do our very best to see that everyone involved is made aware of the cancellation. This means communicating thoroughly, not just in the easiest manner.

Who Makes Decision?

Sunday Services: Collaboration b/t pastor, elder and deacon chairman.

Midweek Activities: Collaboration b/t pastor, ministry leader (sometimes elder/deacon chairmen).

Community Groups other Ministries: Discretion of community group/ministry leader.

If Cancelling

Notify All Involved

  • Notify leaders & those who arrive early first (if priority must be given)
  • Notify all-involved

  • Turn on cancellation notice on homepage
  • Update language if necessary

Text & Email

  • Login to Breeze and view people
  • Filter to see the people who need to receive communication
  • Text
    • In the right column, click “Text People”
    • Type message and send (abbreviate where possible due to limited character count)
    • To schedule (if decision is made outside of appropriate communication hours), type your message, click the down-arrow on the right side of the “Send” button. Schedule and send.
  • Email
    • In the right column, click “Email People”
    • Type message and send
    • To schedule (if decision is made outside of appropriate communication hours), type your message, click the down-arrow on the right side of the “Send” button. Schedule and send.
